How to take the Perfect Presto Pic

Setting Up Your Lighting
- Avoid direct sunlight
- Must photograph in a well-shaded area (on a shaded porch or in a well-lit room)
- Have open space behind the subject (at least 6ft.)
- No people in the background
Posing
Set camera to ‘Portrait Mode’ if possible. If you do not have ‘Portrait Mode’, do not worry.
- Step approximately 5-6 ft away from subject – subject facing straight on
- Ask subject to turn left toes 3” to the left
- Pick right foot up and place parallel to left foot
- Result! Slight shoulder turn.
- Turn head back to the camera and tilt vertically straight
- Nose and eyes straight at the camera
- Nose level with earlobes
- Camera level with eyes
- No hats or sunglasses
- Ensure necklace is straight
Framing
- Hold the camera vertical
- Leave a little space above the head
- Bottom of the frame at the subject’s elbows (PrestoPics will crop it for you)
- Camera level with the subject’s eyes
- No people in the background
- Even lighting on the face
- Take pictures!
